After experiencing anxiety, panic attacks and depression first-hand, this story was originally written for my own personal reflection. As a way of challenging my thinking patterns, I had labelled the creative, intuitive and expansive part of my mindset a Sea Turtle, and the fearful, stubborn and egoic perspective a Donkey.
When I shared it with family and friends it quickly became obvious that I should publish it for people of all ages to enjoy.
The story’s aim is to serve as a reminder that, no matter the current situation, you have everything you need within you to create the life of your dreams—spoiler alert, you are the Donkey and you are the Sea Turtle.
Jenny Kostner’s brilliant illustrations have made the story
even richer and I hope you enjoy them.

****NOW SHIPPING****The books are currently in production. Once they land In Perth, Western Australia, they'll be shipped to you. The current shipping date is proposed to be 22 May 2023, but is subject to unforeseen circumstances. Basically, we'll post them as soon as we can.
*What does "$3.33 donated to mental health charities" mean?
Pretty much what it says. $3.33 will be donated to a mental health related cause for every copy of the book sold in this pre-sale. Chosen charities and the amounts they will receive is at our absolute discretion. Amounts will be advised on socials @mattjhanham.
